Marsha Finkelstein has spent over 15 years helping people get the most out of their work and life experiences.
Whether it has been helping homeless women develop job search skills, recruiting suitable employees for the U.S. Census Bureau, reaching out to at-risk youth and developing economic opportunities for others, Marshas' joy has been in working toward helping individuals find the right work and life paths for them.
Her latest mission has been to found a series of career clubs based on the WaggleForce model devised by Tory Johnson, CEO of Women for Hire and author of Fired to Hired. Recognizing that people often find themselves facing practical and emotional barriers to gainful employment, she named her career clubs “Moving Beyond” to symbolize the participants’ emerging from behind boundaries in order to fulfill their dreams. She currently holds career clubs in Greater Boston and starts new groups each month.
A certified coach, Marsha guides Moving Beyond Career Club members through the robust 10-week program devised by Ms. Johnson. In between meetings, she offers the personal touch; encouraging members to connect between sessions and dispensing job search tips and information about important networking events in the area. She also shares her insight born out of firsthand knowledge of the work world. Marsha networks extensively and is adept at building relationships within the community and between individuals.
Marsha holds a Masters Degree in Nonprofit Management from the New School University in New York, received a Certificate in Personal and Professional Coaching in 2005 from Cambridge College in Massachusetts. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Television and Radio Communications from Brooklyn College in Brooklyn, New York and completed a 20-week Entrepreneurial Training Program at Northern Essex Community College in North Andover, Massachusetts.
